PatternHunter

PatternHunter is a general-purpose homology search tool, based on innovative and proprietary technologies. It provides all the tools necessary for fast and sensitive homology search in all flavors including DNA-DNA, Protein-Protein, translated DNA-protein, and translated DNA-DNA searches. It is recognized and used by leading genomics centers around the world. Licencing is per CPU, and academic users get the command-line version of PatternHunter for free.

ZOOM

ZOOM provides a Next Generation Sequencing solution that can be paired up with PatternHunter. ZOOM (Zillions Of Oligos Mapped) is designed to map millions of short reads back to the reference genomes and carry out post-analysis. Licencing once again is per CPU, and academic users get the command-line version of ZOOM for free. Please visit the ZOOM webpage for more details.

DNA Compress

DNACompress is a tool designed to compress DNA sequences. BSI does not sell or support DNACompress, but we are pleased to offer a free download. DNACompress and PatternHunter were designed to work together. Using PatternHunter, DNACompress can achieve the best compression of DNA sequences with lightning speed.

RAPTOR Pipeline

In addition to the stand-alone RAPTOR Suite for protein structure prediction and functional annotation, BSI also offers a complete pipeline solution that uses PatternHunter to widen the search space to other databanks like GenBank. It enables researchers to find potentially novel protein targets and more accurate functional annotation information without sacrificing speed in a high-throughput environment.
